With Christmas fast approaching (seriously, how is it that time again already?!) it’s time to start planning for some serious holiday shopping!

And, what better way to say “Merry Crimbo!” than with some true blue, fair dinkum Aussie gifts?

From the quirky to the uber-cute. Here are some of our favourite Aussie-inspired gifts that are perfect for gifting to friends and relatives overseas or anyone proud to be an Aussie. There is even something for Uncle Kev!

1. Goldie + Ace Sonny Australia cap mustard/Teal – $39.95

Possibly one of the coolest ways to sport an Aussie hat and of course it is only in kid size. This Mustard and Teal cap from Goldie + Ace. The Australia cap is a cool throwback inspired accessory made from cotton twill with an adjustable strap and brass clasp.

They have plenty of other googies all made and designed in Australia and with super cool designs. It’s just a shame that some of these don’t come in adult sizing!

Ok we would be lying if we said we weren’t obsessed with these super cute felt Australian Animals. Featuring a Kangaroo, Koala, Emu, Kookaburra and Platypus, these amusing pretend play finger puppets are a favourite amongst little ones.

The finger puppets are designed in Australia and made in Nepal from 100% organic sheep wool, hence they are safe for use with children.

One of the most interesting yet pleasing collabs we have seen this side of Christmas is the latest collab from beloved Australian lifestyle and surfwear brand Mambo and the legendary Aussie staple, VEGEMITE!

This limited additional collection features Surfing Koalas, Vegemite toast exploding from toasters, Shakas and Kookaburras. Each design pays homage to Australia’s favourite breakfast spread, in true-blue Mambo style.

We think it’s a pretty cute excuse to go matchy matchy with the kids for Christmas or to surprise Dad and Uncle Kev with shirts perfect for a summer barbie.

The entire Mambo Australia X Vegemite apparel collection is available exclusively at BIG W (online & in-store).
