I know all too well the challenge that constipation can cause for your little one! It was only recently that I was clearing some phone storage that I stumbled across a gallery of images of my daughter’s dirty nappies. I literally spent the first year of motherhood tracking and taking pictures of them, because of the tummy issues she had since birth.

There is nothing more exciting than reaching the final stages of your pregnancy and that significant moment of packing your hospital bag! Life as you know it will soon be very different and you will be caught up in the newborn love bubble in no time.

My eldest 2 were dummy babies. They took to it easily once I made the decision to offer it to them but with number 3, she just wouldn’t have a bar of it. On the few occasions that I tried to tempt her with it, she just spat it out and gagged. This suited me perfectly as I secretly wanted to put my settling techniques to the test and see if I could get by without it.

Whether it’s your first, second or third baby, each pregnancy comes with its own unique experience. You can read all the books and blogs, and have a clearly defined birth plan – but you can’t truly prepare for your birth experience because nothing is guaranteed.

Motherhood is certainly a busy time, with its never-ending cycle of feeding, sleep and play. At times you might find that it’s an achievement in itself, just to get out the door.
