The best baby shower venues in Australia

Welcoming a new family member is a moment so special, you can't overdo the celebrations. After all, this is one of the biggest 'big deals' humans go through!

And what better way to get excited than with a beautiful baby shower? This special gathering brings together your favourite people to share in the joy and excitement surrounding the arrival of your little one.

It’s not, however, the kind of thing you can do on a whim. From the baby shower dress to the food and, of course, the venue, there’s a lot to keep in mind when planning this memorable day.

We’ve prepared a list of the best baby shower venues across Australia, city by city, so you can kick up your feet and find one you love.

Planning the perfect baby shower

First things first, get those invites out early to give your guests ample time to RSVP and make arrangements.

We’ve all been to baby showers so jam-packed with games that you didn’t even have time to talk to the mum-to-be. You want to avoid overdoing the activities lineup, but having a few up your sleeve doesn’t hurt.

We recommend hiring a professional photographer so you can hold onto all the special moments. And, of course, don’t forget to set up a baby shower gift table for guests to put their presents on.

Alright, enough with the tips – let’s dive into our favourite baby shower venues.

Melbourne baby shower venues

The Lombardy Room

It’s pasta time! The Lombardy Room in Melbourne is the perfect baby shower venue because it combines elegance with a cosy, welcoming vibe and amazing Italian food.

With its bright, airy space, the location is ideal for hosting gatherings with your dearest and you can even fit up to 32 people. It’s part of the Park Street Pasta restaurant which is close to the botanical garden (in other words, a gorgeous spot).

The room is beautifully styled but still versatile enough to fit any baby shower theme you have in mind.

Prices vary based on the event, but you can inquire directly for specifics regarding catering and venue hire. We love the intimate atmosphere in this private dining room and how it overlooks Park and Perrins Street. A great venue for your special celebration.

The Café, The National Hotel

The Café at The National Hotel is a perfect spot for a baby shower.

With its vibrant, relaxed atmosphere, the setting feels really intimate (it even has a fireplace!). This one’s great for smaller groups and private baby showers with your close friends.

You have direct bar access and customisable menu options for a personal touch on your special day. Plus, the natural light and beautiful background decor create a super cute backdrop for photos.

It’s a charming location that feels cosy and effortlessly stylish. Prices must be requested from the location.

Private Dining Room, The Lincoln

Welcome to one of Melbourne’s best private dining rooms. On the edge of the city, the Lincoln’s Private Dining Room fuses vintage elegance with a close-knit feel. It’s set within a gorgeous Victorian terrace shopfront and features a wood-banned bar with high ceilings and warm, low lighting.

There is a seated service for up to 30 guests and some audiovisual facilities for whatever fun games you’re keen on.

Sydney baby shower venues

The Winery

The Winery is a beautiful urban wine bar in the heart of Surry Hills. There are different spaces with distinct atmospheres you can choose from – from the Mezzanine to the Garden Room and the Private Dining Room.

It also boasts a lovely outdoor space with lush gardens you’ll love.

You can either celebrate with an intimate or larger group – everyone can feel welcome.

Little Pearl Bar

Away from the city centre, on Manly Beach, the Little Pearl Bar is located.

The waterfront location is show-stopping (the only downside is that it might take attention away from you!) and there’s a decent selection of private dining rooms to suit your event.

Its warm and inviting ambience is a lovely way to celebrate your pregnancy with your nearest and dearest. The interiors of this place are just chef’s kiss.

In terms of pricing, the Little Pearl Bar has different options catered to your experience.

Kingsleys Woolloomooloo

With sunshine and sea views, the Kingsleys Woolloomooloo makes every event that much more spectacular. You can celebrate your little one’s arrival while looking out on the Sydney skyline and taking some seriously impressive Insta pics.

This location is super elegant with a menu featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Brisbane baby shower venues

Kennigo Social House

Kennigo Social House is a venue that feels like stepping into another world.

This charming 140-year-old venue features stunning vintage elements like a wrap-around veranda, stained glass and original timer floors, creating a warm and intimate setting for up to 60 guests.

It offers an in-house chef for a perfectly curated catering experience, letting you relax and savour the celebration.

Green House at Howard Smith Wharves

The Green House at Howard Smith Wharves is a lush, nature-filled haven that feels like an outdoor garden party – just taken up a notch.

With open spaces, a relaxed vibe, and catering options that can make the day effortless, it’s perfect for mums-to-be who want that fresh, outdoor elegance while staying in the heart of Brisbane.

Perth Baby Shower Venues

The Guildhall

The Guildhall is a total gem for your baby shower – think warm lighting, vintage decor and an atmosphere that feels just like home.

The courtyard is perfectly rustic with sparkly fairy lights and plants against white walls, while the private lounge room is vibrant, colourful, and distinct in design. You can choose from long table extravaganzas, canapés and food stations (or a combination of all three!)

The Bassendean Hotel

Inspired by the 90-year-old pub’s classic charm, this local beloved spot has great options for baby showers of all sizes. Our favourite spot is the vintage Speakeasy Lounge on the second level which can host up to 50 guests.

With beautifully designed function spaces, you can gather your nearest and dearest for a fun-filled day full of laughter, delicious food, and precious memories.

Adelaide baby shower venues

Bloom Winwood – Thebarton

If you love the sound of a summery greenhouse that meets an old barn aesthetic, let us introduce you to Bloom.

A day-time restaurant, garden function space, and old tram barn all rolled into one, Bloom brings beautiful energy to any special day. They offer cocktail canapes, grazing tables and shared feast menus paired with some delicious drink packages (for the non-pregnant adults, of course).

Hula Hoop

This outdoor space is perfect for soaking up the sun while you celebrate your little one on the way.

The Hula Hoop is likely a better fit for the parents-to-be who want a more casual setting for the summer and spring months, with simple table set-ups surrounded by leafy trees and greens.

The bites are delicious, the vibes are impeccable, and there’s plenty of shade to keep everyone comfortable.

Hobart Baby Shower Venues

Puddleduck Vineyard

A venue just as cute as its name, Puddleduck is a show-stopping family-owned and operated vineyard.

It has a wonderfully wholesome energy, nestled in the Coal River valley and just a 20-minute drive from Hobert. We love this spot for kid-friendly baby showers where they can run and play.

Fuchsia House

Located right in the stunning Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, Fuchsia House totally ticks the scenic box.

Your guests can wander through the sprawling gardens and lawns on their way in (quite the entrance) before enjoying a special day in the open air.

The room feels a bit like a greenhouse so pro tip: you’ll need to top up on sunscreen.

Villa Howden High Tea

For a classy, elegant venue – Villa Howden takes the cake. It’s a picture-perfect, French-inspired space just 15 minutes south of Hobart in the Huon Valley.

Their sweet and savoury treats and nibbles will have your guests raving for days (and trying to figure out how to replicate them at home).

The views and surroundings truly feel like you’ve stumbled on a small village in France, making it perfect for the endless pictures you’ll want to take.

Wrapping up

With so many stunning baby shower venues across Australia, from chic city spots and an entire venue to dreamy countryside escapes or a single dining room, there’s no shortage of perfect places to celebrate the arrival of your little one.

Now that you’ve got the inspiration, it’s time to start planning and bring your baby shower vision to life! Remember, it’s all about creating those magical moments with friends, family, and of course, a lot of love.
