Bloom, incoming!

This postcard is a small but deliberate act of celebration, a reminder to pause, think of someone in your life who is doing something extraordinary in the ordinary, and tell them so. Because the people who show up every day, don’t always know they’re seen. This is how we make sure they do.

Olivia’s Story

Meet Olivia

Writer, editor, curator and mum of two, Olivia calls Butterwood Ranch in the Northern Rivers home. It is a name she dreamt up and a place she and her partner built. There, across 100 acres, she hosts artists in residence while raising her two daughters, Lila and Vivien. She shares her story about building a life here, and what it means to see it the way her daughters do: vivid, enormous and entirely worth stopping for.

Bloom, Your Way!

Behind the flowers

The Paper Daisy

Also known as the Everlasting Daisy, the Paper Daisy, is one of Australia’s most joyful and most resilient natives. Come spring, it carpets vast stretches of the Australian countryside in waves of pink, white and golden yellow, a bloom so abundant and so distinctly of this country that it has been celebrated since the first botanical records of Australian flora. What makes it truly special is in its name: everlasting. The papery bracts that surround each flower head hold their shape and colour long after cutting, dried beautifully, lasting in a vase for weeks, returning season after season without complaint.

This month, we speak to Children’s Eye Health and the Paper daisy is the perfect choice for this: it’s a flower that reminds us to look, to really look, at what is in front of us, at what our children see, at the world as it appears through their eyes.
