Let’s talk about the S word… SLEEP!
We know in the early months, babies get a lot 12-18 hours of sleep a day… albeit broken. But for parents, it’s not such a pretty picture, averaging only around 4-5 hours a night. We’re tired just thinking about it. 🥱
That’s why with the help of Euky Bear, we’re getting the baby sleep whisperer, aka Mothercraft nurse Chris Minogue, to share her top three tips for sleep (notepads at the ready 📝).
Chris’ key words of wisdom to getting your baby down for a solid sleep?
✨From six weeks, you can introduce an evening rhythm called feed-bath-feed
✨Create a calm sleep environment by tapping into the senses. Red light, pink noise and aromatherapy can create sleep cues and associations which can help your baby fall asleep, and resettle throughout the night
✨Layer up! Remember temperature can affect a baby’s sleep – so be sure to layer up according to each season
