Minimuds was born from necessity. Muddy backyards, wet playgrounds and kids who don’t stop just because the weather turns. (In reality, they go harder!)
Inspired by the challenging climate of alpine Victoria, and a handful of kids who just wanted to be out in it, it began as a practical solution close to home.
We make outdoor gear for children that’s built for real use. Puddles, bike tracks, soaked slides, repeat. Pieces that hold up, clean up easily and are ready to go again the next day (the gear, not always the kids).
What started a decade ago in a small workshop in our backyard shed in Northeast Victoria has grown into gear worn and loved by thousands of families across Australia and New Zealand, including schools and bush kinders. Not because it’s complicated. Just because it works.
Winning gold for product design in 2021 was a pivotal moment for the brand, and definitely validated all the blood, sweat and tears invested over many years!
At its core, Minimuds is about making it easier to say yes to going outside, whatever the weather’s doing.
It's a freedom every family deserves.
