Just make your kid give Diary of a Wimpy Kid a try, and we’ll promise they’ll never go back. It’s such an easy book to love and is absolutely hilarious. It has pictures every page or two, so it’s the perfect transition between picture books and full-text ones. The plot is simple and fast-paced, so they’ll never get bored or find a reason to put it down.
Our narrator is Greg Heffley, an ordinary (if awkward) middle school boy. He deals with ordinary problems, like his older brother playing pranks on him or dealing with his first real crush. In this diary, he writes and draws it all out for us and makes us laugh at least once every single page.
